Yet again the AGS was awarded Gold for its display at the RHS Tatton Flower Show

Alpines in Troughs and Pots’ was a gold-winning display designed and created by the East Cheshire AGS Group with help from other members of the North West Bubble. Our stand proved to be very popular and attracted a lot of interest throughout the show week.
The gardening public was able to learn how to grow alpines in a variety of containers of all sizes, shapes and makes. The display featured recycled polystyrene fish boxes, stone & hypertufa troughs, ceramic & glass washbasins, clay pots, tin containers, stone-mimicking resin troughs and even hollow bricks. Examples of miniature and crevice gardens were also on show.
In no particular order we want to thank everyone who helped in the sweltering heat over the last two days: Frank Hoyle and David Morris (North Lancashire), Rosie Turner (Southport), John and Clare Dower (East Lancashire), Diane Clement (Wolverhampton) as well as the team from East Cheshire: Bob Worsley, Mike & Jennie Morgan, Rupert Lund, Allan Morgan, Paul Mackenzie, Shan Thomas, Jean and Steve Osborne, Barbara Slee, Helen Wood, Sheila Maddocks, Ilona Duffy and Razvan Chisu.
