Activity Weekend, 13-16 June 2024

This year the AGS Activity Weekend will take place in Scotland between 13-16 June 2024. Anyone with an interest and passion for alpine plants, amateurs and professionals alike, is welcome to attend.

Programme

Thursday 13 June – arrival & dinner at Stirling Youth Hostel

Friday 14 June – morning visit to Kevock Nurseries followed by an afternoon behind-the-scenes visit at the alpine department at RBG Edinburg

Saturday 15 June – day trip to Ben Lawers, a national nature reserve that hosts the best examples of rare arctic-alpine plant species in the UK

Sunday 16 June – morning visit at Branklin Gardens in Perth, event ends at 1pm

COST

The event will cost £150. This includes half board (breakfast and dinner) accommodation for three nights in 4-person private ensuite bedrooms at the Stirling Youth Hostel. Entry fee at Branklyn Gardens will also be included in the cost.

Participants must cover their own travel and insurance costs.

There are a number of subsidised places at the Activity Weekend, at a reduced cost of £50. If you would like to apply for one of these, please tick the appropriate box in the booking form below. Amateurs, students and professionals can apply if they are aged 18-35, or within the first 5 years of their horticultural career.
