It’s that time of year again! May always brings with it the excitement of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

The Chelsea Flower Show is an opportunity for designers to showcase their innovative garden landscape and planting creations. It’s a treasure trove of inspiration for gardeners and this year didn’t disappoint.

There were some spectacular show gardens. We were particularly taken with the Welcome to Yorkshire Garden designed by Mark Gregory The Gold Medal winning garden was inspired by Yorkshire’s rich industrial and manufacturing history combined with its beautiful natural environment.

Another favourite show garden was Chris Beardshaw’s Morgan Stanley Garden. Another Gold Medal winner, the inspiration here was the UK’s love of beautiful gardens. It was also focused on exploring ‘how to continue the tradition of creating herbaceous-rich spaces, while managing resources more sensitively.’ (RHS)

The award for Best Show Garden went to the wonderful M&G Garden designed by Andy Sturgeon. Inspired by nature’s power to regenerate, the garden featured a woodland landscape with stone platforms and burnt timber sculptures designed to represent natural rock formations.

These are just a few of our highlights from the show gardens. You can read more about the inspiration for each and see the full list of medals on the RHS website.
