We are a small group of around 35 members who meet each month during the Autumn, Winter and Spring. We enjoy a lively and interesting lecture programme, plant sales and plant display table; we always with plenty of time to chat with others who have a keen interest in plants over a cup of tea or coffee and biscuits. The programme also includes, practical events, garden visits and opportunities to benefit from the knowledge and experience of other members.
The range of alpine plant interests is perhaps surprisingly wide, including alpine and rock garden plants, small herbaceous plants, hardy and half hardy bulbs, hardy ferns and small shrubs. All of this is reflected in our programme with many of our lectures being about plants in the wild in faraway places..
Our base is the Bishopton Community Centre Stratford on Avon. We normally meet on the third Monday of each month from September to May. Meetings start at 7.30pm, and visitors are always welcome. The venue is self-contained with a kitchen and toilet facilities. There are plenty of parking spaces in front of the adjacent school.
The address for our meetings is:
Bishopton Community Centre, Drayton Avenue, Stratford on Avon, CV37 9PB.
Our annual membership fee is £10 per person. Visitors £2.00 per meeting.
