Founded by Murray Bartlett, a Wirral Estate Agent who helped to establish the Society's Travel Award. The long-established Group is working in association with the University of Liverpool Botanic Garden to promote a love of alpines by working with staff members to improve and maintain a small alpine house, raised alpine plant beds and troughs, and the Tufa rock bank in the 3 acre rock garden.
