Anemone nemorosa

Down at the bottom of the hill, in the wild garden, the woods were full of wood anemones.

Fritillaria meleagris

The pools here used to be a great place to photograph Fritillaria meleagris, with the water as a background, but now many of the pools are choked with weed.

Anemone blanda

Walking back over the ridge to the Event Centre there were some lovely patches of Anemone blanda.

Corydalis solida

Interplanted with the blue anemone was a red form of Corydalis solida which looked very much like George Baker.
