Very ably assisted by Tim having a break from all the drilling and hammering and planting.

Meanwhile the Rill has its moment of truth, filled for the first time this morning, the level hasn't dropped of its own accord. Now the test with 9000 litres of water per hour being pumped round its system.

It went extremely well, thanks to our president Frank Tindall and to all those involved in its transportation south from Huddersfield.

Meanwhile these raised beds and tufa plantings take a significant amount of effort. Kit and Rod lend Tim a hand.

However there's still a lot of hard graft to be done with hammer and chisel. Brought a more appropriately sized one today.

However, there's a wealth of experience and a lot of knowledge freely passed on which makes the whole process flow smoothly.

Nadine St Claire and Margaret Brine get delegated the mothering duties in Pam's absence.

As Kit gets on with the household chores.

This is the first time people have seen the patio as it has always been cluttered with plants, space being the premium it is.

Looks about right!

Now to get the rest planted into the various planters.

Then just before we get the tidying up done, the film crews are round gathering evidence.

Also old friends drop by, Michael Upward, veteran of many previous AGS Chelsea Exhibits.

Sunday 20th and it is time for finishing touches

Much of which is about getting all the labels sorted out ready for positioning.

Sunday 20th and it is time for finishing touches

Above you'll see that Robert Rolfe has joined us to lend his vast expertise in the field of getting the names correct. Also Val Bathe in picture, another stalwart from many years at Chelsea.

Seems like no matter how many you've already done, there are always a few more to do.....still smiling though.

Then of course you have to get them in the correct position.

Finishing touches are also required on the Scree and Bog areas, for which there is no substitute but to clamber in amongst them.

BY which time you need at least one assistant to pass the supplies of grit and labels. Christine Mcgregor doing the essential.

It's Val Bathe's turn for the household chores today.

Now we're down to final debates on whether that looks right where it is.

This is one where everyone can join in.

However, the designer has the Chairman's privilege.

To remove the offending article when no one else is looking!!

The humour of which is not lost on Dick and Val who have co-ordinated the previous several builds at Chelsea and Hampton Court.

Kit and Ray contemplate final touches.
