Sempervivums

Outside the other end of the alpine house is a newly re-planted trough, with an interesting arrangement of sempervivums in it.

Sempervivums
Eriogonum wrightii var. subscaposum

In the sand bed, this eriogonum was making a nice late display. Not as small as many, but an attractive plant nonetheless.

Caryopteris x. clandonensis Longwood Blue

Back past the caryopteris, and some more pictures in the sunshine.

Colchicum autumnale v. album

An unnamed colchicum which looks like C. autumnale album.

Beesia calthifolia

These are awful photos, but I while I am familiar with the leaves of Beesia, I have never been here to see it flower before.

Hieracium ?

A spot of colour on the rock garden.

Colchicum speciosum

I know they are not in perfect condition, but it was a pleasure to see them standing up and trying to open after days of rain and high winds.

Sarracenia

At the bottom of the rock garden there is an area where Sarracenias have been planted out around one of the pools; they look to be thriving.

Polygonum

Even though nearly all the flowers are over, the dead heads on this were quite decorative in the sunshine.

Pools

A few shots of the koi pools across the bottom of the rock garden.
