Alpine Garden Society headquarters and local groups usually offer a programme of alpine plant talks and events throughout the year. However, due to the lockdown, many of these have had to be cancelled.
So, we’re putting together a programme of exciting virtual talks by alpine experts for AGS members to keep you informed and inspired during this difficult time. We’re extremely excited about this and hope you are too!
The first virtual event will be a Q&A session with Kit Strange on alpine plant propagation. This will take place on the Alpine Garden Society Members Facebook Group at 6pm on Thursday 21st May 2020.
We’re asking members to submit questions in advance. So far, we’ve received questions about twin-scaling bulbs, root cuttings, and Trilliums. It promises to be a lively session!
Get your questions in now by emailing them to firstname.lastname@example.org or posting them in the AGS Members Facebook Group.
There’s something special about joining a live show – you can comment and ‘like’ the session in real-time for everyone to see. But if you can’t make that date and time, Kit’s video will also be available to view on the Facebook Group once the live show is complete.
To tune in, simply enter our group at the scheduled time or click the notification on your Facebook account that says ‘Kit Strange is going live’ to be taken straight to the live feed!
You’re our members and we care about creating content that is helpful and informative for you. So have your say!
Let us know which experts you’d like to hear from and we’ll see what we can do. Do so by emailing suggestions to email@example.com or by commenting on the recent post asking for suggestions in our Facebook Group.
We hope to see many of you on Thursday at 6pm when Kit reveals her top tips!
Yes, you do need to be a member of the Alpine Garden Society to join the Facebook Members Group and gain access to this content. But the good news is you can join for just £36 for an entire year!
