We have exciting news for horticulture students or those new to a career in the field…

We are offering two subsidised places on our March 2019 tour of the Peloponnese. We’re offering the places as part of our Travel Grants Programme at a cost of only £250. (Price includes flights and accommodation.) The 8-day tour runs from 21-28 March 2019.

The Peloponnese is a hotspot of biodiversity. This trip is a fantastic opportunity to enhance your plant knowledge and see incredible species in their natural habitat, from orchids and wild tulips at sea-level to cyclamen in mountain forests and crocuses on the highest peaks of the peninsula.

You can read more about the places we’ll visit here. We had two travel grant applicants join us on our autumn tour in 2018 and you can read about their experience here.

How to apply

Expressions of interest are welcomed from those studying or new to horticulture in the last 5 years. Please email ags@alpinegardensociety.net (using the subject ‘Application: Peloponnese Tour’) with a brief outline of how the trip will benefit your studies and/or career development. Please also include details of your horticulture training and qualifications.

The closing date for applications is Monday 25 February 2019.
