What a treat we have in store for you, AGS members!
The one and only Cliff Booker, famed for his phenomenal photography and impressive visual displays, is delivering two carefully-crafted talks for us on… dun dun derr! Alpine plants in the Italian Dolomites.
The talks are designed to be two parts of one whole, so get both of these dates in your diary now!
Come see the amazing landscapes and fabulous flora of these magnificent Italian mountains, complete with musical interludes and stellar photogarphy, as Cliff talks us through this unique environment.
If you’re missing tours this year, then this is a very good second best!
Following on from part 1, Cliff will zoom in on some of the breathtaking alpine plants that can be seen in these spectacular mountains. Filled with fascinating photos and fun facts, it’s a talk not to be missed!
Cliff will also be answering your questions – like having your own tour guide on hand!
Cliff is a Gold Medal and triple Farrer Medal winning exhibitor at Alpine Garden Society flower shows.
He’s been heavily involved with alpine plants since 1984 and specialises in growing and exhibiting the high mountain members of the family Ranunculaceae.
Cliff’s jaw-droppingly inspirational garden is pictured below…!
Along with his wife Sue, Cliff has led wildflower walks in the Dolomites for nearly twenty years. We’re over the moon that he’s sharing his experience with our members on this fascinating subject!
Cliff is also an experienced lecturer. He has lectured to many groups and societies across the UK and has done lecture tours of the USA, Canada, Belgium, Holland, Scotland and many more.
The books Mountain Flowers – The Dolomites and Mountain Flowers – Picos and The Pyrenees are co-authored by Cliff and David Charlton. They are two beautifully illustrated field guides to these fabulous mountain ranges.
Both talks are completely free for Alpine Garden Society members, but I’m afraid we’re now completely full up!
