Our Alpine Christmas Quiz is free for everyone to join – so come and have some alpine Christmas fun with us!

Mimicking a traditional pub quiz, there will be 6 rounds, each worth 10 points, with a fill in the blanks round, a Christmas alpines round, an odd one out round – and a few more!

To take part, join us live on YouTube at 6pm (GMT) on Tues 22nd Dec with pen and paper at the ready.

You absolutely do not need to be an alpine expert to take part – we’ve designed the questions to level the playing field between our expert botanists and our amateur enthusiasts, so why not come and try your luck?

First Prize: Big Time Alpine Goody Bag

The team with the highest score will receive an Alpine Garden Society goody bag featuring:

All prizes are ready to go and will be posted out on 6th January when our staff return to the office after Christmas!

How to Record Your Quiz Answers

Give your team a Christmassy name and listen as our host takes you through question by question.

Use our official printable answer sheet to write your answers down or get our online answer sheet to type your answers in on a device.

Alternatively, use any old notepad you have knocking about at home (just be sure to number the rounds and questions correctly!) – we’re not fussy!

Enter for Your Chance to Win!

At the end of the quiz, send your answer sheet to fay@alpinegardensociety.net within 10 mins of the quiz end time.

Either send a photo of your paper answer sheet or attach your answers as a Word document – up to you. Just make sure your answers are legible to be in with a chance of winning big!

This will ‘lock in’ your answers so we know you haven’t changed them later. Our host will then take you through the answers live on YouTube, where you’ll be asked to mark your own answer sheet.

You’ll then be asked to send one final email to fay@alpinegardensociety.net with your team name and score in the subject line.

The teams who report the top 3 scores will receive our fabulous goody bag prizes (please see the terms and conditions below)!

Terms and Conditions

1. Answer sheets that are received more than 10 minutes after the quiz ends won’t be eligible for a prize – but they will still be eligible for all the alpine Christmas fun that comes from doing the quiz!
2. Entrants must be based in the UK, or be able to give a UK address to which we can post goody bags out to be eligible for winning a prize. If top scores do not fit this description, new winners will be chosen from the next highest scorers.
3. In the event of a tie, names will be drawn out of a hat to choose the winners.
4. You must mark your own answer sheet to be in with a chance of winning a prize. If you report a winning score, our quiz team will check your the answer sheet you emailed in originally to make sure you’ve reported your score correctly. Once confirmed, we will get in touch to tell you that you’ve won!
5. If you are a high scorer, we will contact you by email to congratulate you and ask for a UK address where we can send your prize. By entering, you consent to us contacting you in this way. If we do not hear back from you by midnight on 6th January 2021, we will give the prizde to the next highest scorer.
6. Prizes will be posted out after 6th January when our staff return to the office after the holidays.
