A must for Crocus enthusiasts - there are no less than 28 species on the agenda for this tour.
You'll find yourself in expert hands: your tour leaders have helped make many new discoveries in Western Turkey. Yasemin even has one named after her; Crocus yaseminiae.
- Gembos Yayla: On the high pastures, you'll find yellow Crocus gembosii and purple-striped blue Crocus mavii hybridise to produce a kaleidoscope of colour.
- Crocus calanthus: Spy this large, very rare Crocus in the cedar of Lebanon forests.
- New discoveries: Near Antalya, you'll see Crocus aff. tauri and a Crocus discovered so recently, it's still yet to be named.
- Baba Dağı: Here we'll discover two special bulbs; Fritillaria forbesii and Scilla forbesii. Alongside paths are rare Iris pamphylica, yellow Fritillaria carica, pink Anthemis rosea and many more.
