Israel provides the ideal conditions for bulbous plants to grow.
With 200+ species, there's plenty to see.
- Mountain Hermon: See elegant green and purple Fritillaria hermonis, richly-hued forms of Hyacinthus orientalis and some beautiful irises, including Iris lortetii and white-topped Iris hermona.
- Oncocyclus irises: Israel has eight species. See the dark purple-pink flowers of Iris haynei on Mount Gilboa. Near Nazareth, the white, purple-lined standards of Iris bismarckiana light up the slopes.
- Historic locations: The places we'll travel to resonate through the ages. Upper-Galilee, Judea, Nazareth and the Jordan Valley, where we'll visit the Dead Sea.
