Also shown last week in East Anglia, It received a well-deserved Farrer Medal this week.
To repeat what I said then, this magnificent plant was nearly 2 feet across and covered in bloom. Monocarpic unfortunately - how can a plant that has had such care and attention lavished on it have the nerve to die. Let's hope it sets plenty of seed.
