Cultivation Requirements

Moisture retentive soil, cool but with some sun in summer.


Rarely available from specialist bulb suppliers and seed lists

Not an easy plant to cultivate in areas which suit the Mediterranean crocuses.   It keeps its   leaves through the summer, needing to do this to build up a new corm.   In the wild the new season flowers may be produced before the previous seasons leaves have completely died down.
