The pink form of R.scillifolia has been known in the horticultural trade for many years as R. alpina.

A rampant spreader in my garden

This plant has become something of a nuisance in a raised scree bed in my garden in N. Wales. It seems to spread by both rhizomes and seed. It is quite pretty, but not worth the space it is demanding - now where is my trowel...
