Bright yellow flowers as leaves are just developing. Corm tunic with reticulated fibres

Closest Relatives

Crocus gargaricus herbertii;   Crocus ancyrensis

Cultivation Requirements

Cool moist conditions throughout the year

Specialist seed or bulb suppliers

Distinct from the very similar subspecies herbertii which increases by producing stolons.   Lacks a bracteole which distinguishes it from Crocus ancyrensis.
