White flowers with some dark markings at base of outer petals.   Membranous tunic ages to parallel fibres.

Crocus aleppicus; Crocus veneris

Availability

Not!

Not a very exciting species horticulturally.   (But as its not available in commerce and barely in cultivation, this is unlikely to be an issue!)    Smallish white flowers in midwinter and almost certain to need winter protection and a completely dry summer rest.
