As usual, this List has been compiled from recommended speakers and volunteers. There are some obvious omissions, mainly because the Lecturers in question have become over-exposed and wish to withdraw albeit, in some case, temporarily.

The question of fees has caused some heart-searching, but it is generally felt that some recognition of the time and effort put into a talk should be acknowledged and it is thus recommended that £25.00 should be considered the norm. As indicated in the List, there are variations, but the question should be discussed with a speaker in any case.

Hospitality and a meal beforehand are still being overlooked by some Groups and it is once again emphasised that both should be offered firmly, rather than vaguely or in a half-hearted manner. It is up to the Speaker to decline, not the Group to omit the courtesy.
