AGS Local Groups and Specialist Groups

The AGS has over 50 local Groups in the UK and the Irish Republic.  There are also a number of overseas groups.  There are three special interest groups for members with a particular interest in Fritillaria, Androsace or the History of Rock and Alpine Gardening.

Peter Erskine's Garden

AGS Local Groups usually meet once a month during the Autumn, Winter and Spring.  The winter meetings usually involve lectures on alpines and rock plants, and how to grow them. In the Spring, most groups organise garden visits and trips as well as their own local flower shows.  The program for most local groups is listed here, as well as a list of venues and contacts.
