This plant was bought about 2005 from Aberconwy Nursery for 2.40. It was named as Saxifraga x doefleri 'Tycho de Brahe'. The latter name was amended to Tycho Brahe a Danish nobleman astronomer living in the late 1500's. I grow this in a raised cold frame and remains in a 19cm pot, however, I think it is now ready for repotting. I have never fed this plant. A nice contrast to early flowering bulbs. The next photo is of a single rosette of Saxifrage marginata grown from seed and placed into a tufa block. This plant grows outside throughout the year. The flower is at the same stage as the earlier mentioned Saxifraga grown under glass.I think this needs a little feed!

Hi there. I don't think your single rosette on tufa is Saxifraga marginata.

S. marginata is white and from the section Porphyrion

However, your plant is lovely and interesting to see it in tufa.
