I have Silene and Oxalis seedlings amongst others which look ready for pricking out but I am wondering if it would be better to leave them until the Spring. I went to a general propagation workshop last year and the speaker said that it was bad for the seedlings to prick them out at this time of year as they wont really be growing.

Any advice - the seedlings are currently in a cold frame.

Helen, you're right on the cusp of do it/don't do it. I'd be tempted to leave them till the spring, especially the oxalis.

Thanks Martin thats what I was thinking - lost a load of Primula seedlings last year that I pricked out about now, they just withered. I will tuck them in the cold frame and forget about them until Spring
