Here are some of the plants in flower today at Pershore. Nice to see them in a garden setting, rather than in a pot on the showbench.

1. Daphne calcicola 'Gang Ho Ba'

Daphne x hendersonii 'Rosebud'

Daphne x hendersonii 'Aymon Correvon'

Daphne x hendersonii 'Jeanette Brickell'

Daphne x hendersonii 'Fritz Kummert'

Daphne x rollsdorfii 'Wilhelm Schacht'

Daphne x napolitana 'Meon'

Daphne x susannae 'Cheriton'

Daphnes

Thanks Giles for putting those pictures on. I have never been particularly impressed by Daphnes until I saw the ones at Pershore. Then they were not in flower and I thought even then there was more to them than had ever met my eye. I've have succumbed to one and doubtless will acquire more.

That clock is still out. I make it 23 54pm here and still April 28th

Dear Elizabeth,

I think it is a pity that more people don't visit the AGS Centre. The garden has alot of fine plants, and alot of effort goes in to its upkeep.

It's high on my list of places to visit when I am next in the Pershore area.

Lovely pictures Giles if I only had the space I could so easily have another obsession.

Oxalis "Hemswell Knight" in one of the many stone troughs.

Phlox subulata "McDaniels Cushion" in the easy alpine section

Helianthemum oelandicum also on the easy alpine bed

A general view of the easy alpine section of the garden, a good show nearly all the year round.
