A selection of small shrubs
My Primula sinuata (which I left at home; you've got competion John!!!)
Thank you for posting the photographs Giles, I liked the Eritrichium as well, a fantastic colour which has come out well on the photo. A good quantity of plants on show and seemed to be quite busy with visitors. Well done to Geoff and John and team for a great show this year.
Hearty congratulations to all involved with the splendid North Midlands Show held today in Chesterfield. The Farrer Medal for best exhibit in the show went to first time recipient Frank Hoyle from Chipping with a very tight and superbly flowered Draba acaulis. Frank is pictured with his wife Barbara who had a very successful show herself. Many more images to post but these will have to wait as I am presenting a digital photography workshop for the East Lancashire Group tomorrow. BARBARA AND FRANK HOYLE FROM CHIPPING WITH FRANK'S FARRER MEDAL WINNING DRABA ACAULIS

An excellent day at Chesterfield, as always. Thanks to Geoff Mawson and John Savage and all the gang from the group for all their hard work. I'll start with a general view of the bench, showing the one pan bulb class with 17 entries

The winner of that class was Trillium hendersonii shown by Rod and Shirley Johnson

Also in that class, Iris ruthenica shown by Barry Winter
