Leucocoryne ixioides

Finally entering the alpine house. Whenever I grow Leucocoryne ixioides it turns out to be the white form.

Daphne sericea

On the sunny side of the alpine house. Spectacular, but I'm never sure I like the colour.

Corydalis solida Firecracker

On the new crevice garden, the small plants are springing into life, bringing some colour to the edifice. This ravine seems to be full of corydalis.

Dianthus Eleanor Parker

My favourite of the more recent Dianthus hybrids; but it usually seems to flower itself to death, even if you remove all the flowers as they fade so it doesn't put energy into producing seed.

Tulipa praestans Fusilier

Back to the terrace overlooking the rock garden, and then a walk along the shady bank at the top of the meadow.
