On the shaded side of the landscape house, there is a tufa wall in full shade. At this time of year this is full of Porophyllum saxifrages, plus, I was surprised to see, Primula allionii, planted under overhangs where no damp lodges around it. It was amazing to see it outdoors, even in such a specialized location, but the plants seemed to be thriving.

Pulsatilla vulgaris Prestbury Strain

Moving on to the raised bed and troughs between the two alpine houses.

Another big plant of Pulsatilla vulgaris, with a touch of fill-flash to balance the strong back lighting.

One more saxifrage growing in the tufa around the landscape house, this time on the sunny side.
