I have been watching the development of this garden in Scotland with great interest, as described by Ian Christie on the SRGC website. Sadly, like all public places not all people treat it well but it must be a marvellous place for local people to see plants and learn something of the significent history behind Scottish gardens and of the botanists, explorers and gardeners who have contributed to this. It would be a good garden to use at the heart of a more in depth television programme on plants, their origins and the people who have discovered and introduced them, along with, for example, the strong recent traditions of plant hunting by figures such as Ron McBeath and the Cox family. Along with this are the significant private and public gardens that keep all these plants in cultivation and share their expertise with others. A great project for BBC Scotland, if done well.
