I bought Cheilanthes acrostica recently, partly because I liked the name! The person I bought it from could tell me little about it, and the label just told me the name and the price. Can anyone advise me on how and where to grow it, please?

'Tis a nice name !  I haven't grown this fern - which I think is native to Spain- but a friend who did grew it in almost pure limestone grit  and kept it in a frost free  glasshouse - probably more than "just" frost-free, if I remember correctly.

Good luck with it.

Thanks, Margaret. It doesn't sound too hopeful! But I'll try repotting it in grit, and may need to bring it into the house in winter.
