Just returned (exhausted) from our East Lancashire AGS Show at Whitworth and we are thrilled to announce that this year's event proved a resounding success for Show Secretary; Carol Kellett and her hard-working team. A host of wonderful entries and well-contested classes all over the benches.

A memorable day for Mark Childerhouse from Brigg who gained his first Farrer Medal with a magnificent Saxifraga 'Mary Golds.

Many more images to follow I'm sure as forum cameras were well in evidence?

It was a dull wet day at the Riverside but the rainbow of colours on entering the show hall was better than a ray of sunshine. Thanks to Carol and her team for another successful show and a good, hospitable Lancashire welcome.

Here are a few pictures from the intermediate and novice sections.

This lovely Saxifrage won first for Edward Spencer in class 96.

A nice Corydalis from Georgina Instone.

This excellent pan of Iris's won first for Joan Bradbury in Class 103.

This beautiful exhibit won The Merlewood trophy for Vera Buck.

This Cyclamen coum helped Margaret Pickering win the Mona Knowles Trophy for most points in the intermediate section.

John Bunn is one to watch if this Dionysia is anything to go by.

Narsissus 'Tete-a-Tete' from Graham Bradshaw.

A delightful three pan from Mala Janes.

Tony Taziker won the Booker Trophy for very nice Dionysia

Adam Baines entered this lovely Cyclamen coum and won class 144 in the Novice Section.
