AGS Loughborough Spring Show 8th March.
Charnwood College, Thorpe Hill, Loughborough, LE11 4SQ. Only a couple of miles from the M1, J23
Not long now until the annual spring extravaganza. Never mind if you’re not into show plants, although how can you not be wowed by 700+ plants ablaze in almost every colour of the rainbow and a few more besides. Is art your thing? Come and visit the artistic section.

This is also the plant sale to end all plant sales. Nurseries in attendance are:
Choice Landscapes
Evolution Plants
Laneside Hardy orchids
Little Heath Farm
Orchid Alchemy
Parham Bungalow
Slack Top
Tale Valley
Thuya Alpines
Wildside Plants
Plus an AGS members plant stall, Terrapot pots, AGS Book Stall & Seed Sales and on site catering, don’t miss the best sausage and bacon cobs on the show circuit (others may, of course, dispute this claim).

All this for just £3, members free of course.

For non drivers the best way to get to the school is by bus from the centre of Loughborough. A 'Sprint' bus leaves the Railway Station every 10 minutes for the town centre from where the Kinchbus 5, which runs every 30 minutes, will bring you to tge gates of the school. This is one of those services which runs on a 'loop' and goes through the town centre twice so try to get on it going the shortest way.

We'd like to say a big Thank You to all who helped at yesterday's Loughborough Show and on Friday night setting up the halls. Without this small army of volunteers it just wouldn't happen. Thanks also to the people who turned out in droves, ate almost all the food, stripped the Tombola bare by 2pm and left 15 Nursery men and women with smiles on theire faces.

Oh yes, and the exhibitors for the 800 pots of stunning plants on the benches and a full on Artistic dispaly and the judges for dealing with their tough decisions in a timely fashion. I'd love to post some pictures but there was no time to take them!

Thanks to all

Martin & Neil
