What a wonderful variety of plants! For anyone like me who is fascinated by dryland alpines there looks to be so much closer to home than across in Turkey and way over in the Rockies. A French nurseryman friend, John-Pierre Jolivot, has collected such things as erodiums and phlomis from Spain (and I have a few weird umbels), but even these few pictures show how exciting the flora is - I would certainly like to grow Erodium rupicola, Lotus glareosus and Astragalus incanus! It seems like a seed collecting trip to the Sierra Nevada might have to be on the agenda some time in the future, maybe stopping off at the Pyrenees,,,
