Beautiful pictures of Canarina. I went to La Palma to see it (as late as April) My picture is on a slide somewhere. Had hoped I might have seen the two other species (abyss...and eminii) in E Africa. Any idea where to find them there?

Any recent info on pollination?

Thank you Susan. I didn't even know there WERE other species! It looks as if it was bird pollinated. We didn't actually see any being visited, but the endemic Canary Islands Chiffchaff was everywhere there and was visiting flowers in gardens elsewhere on the island so it is a good candidate. Here is a v bad photo!

I would not have known but for a book (D. Bramwell) I bought at the time (1999). Seems to be out print now.
