The white flowered plant with the cone like centre looks like houttuynia cordata, usually seen in gardens as the mulicoloured leaf form 'chameleon'. it can be terribly invasive in damp conditions.

Thank you Neil, I am sure you must be right. I know 'Chameleon' as a vegetative ground-cover but had not seen it in flower.
