This beautiful winter flowering crocus was blooming this week in my garden (Melbourne, Australia). It's the first year I've grown it and I'm so glad I bought it. As you can see from the photo, the outer sepals are buff coloured with purple feathering, while the inner petals are a beautiful lilac. Luckily the rain has held off until recently so the flower held is form well.

And here it is opened.
