Really interested to see details of the Greek Island beds as many of these plants suit our dry garden, albeit also at risk from too cold a winter. The flora of Crete is especially fascinating (dating back from growing plants from seed collected by Nicholas Turland). Will be intriguing to see how it develops, and will you be adding bulbs and annuals?

Cretan bed geophytes

Thank you for your comments. Yes we have a planted a few geophytes and will plant more, but always cautiously as we want to avoid some of the weed problems that have delelopped in the rock garden. We are slowly propagating Cretan endemics and in the meantime have planted geophytes of wider Greek distribution.I am looking forward to seeing how Arum purpureospathum grows.
