Kent Alpine Gardener's Diary

This entry: 02 February 2014 by Tim Ingram

A Few Snowdrop Portraits

A Few Snowdrop Portraits

Inspired by Anne Wright's fine images on the SRGC Forum of her 'yellow' crosses, these are pictures of several of the snowdrops we used on our display yesterday. All are good 'doers' in the garden and we tried to inform onlookers with a little more background information about them. The last picture - a form of G. elwesii monostictus, originally came from Kath Dryden. In the absence of growing many other forms I am not sure if it stands out, but it is certainly a fine upstanding plant in the garden.

A Few Snowdrop Portraits

(the last plant is growing in a wonderful pot made by Les Cheeseman some years ago - a work of art in itself).
