Goodbye to Jill
As many of you will be aware, Jill Larner has retired from her post as Senior Administrator with the Society after nearly 21 years. To mark her retirement we held a lunch earlier in July and later in August, at a meeting of Main Committee, she was presented with a gift to which many members who had worked closely with Jill had contributed. For her gift Jill chose a Tablet computer and will be using it to keep in touch with the Society, as well as for other things.
We are missing her badly since she left and it is difficult to plug the gap. I miss her presence in the office, both as a member of staff and a friend. Since her retirement she has been back to help as a volunteer and intends to assist with the seed exchange later in the year. I am sure we all wish her a very happy retirement.
