Woodland bed under a dark-leaved sycamore.
A golden-leaved mock orange and Euphorbia polychroma brighten up this corner. Plants include daphne, dicentra, epimedium, Pulmonaria angustifolia, Fritillaria meleagris, hellebores, Erythronium 'Pagoda' and in the pot Trillium pusillum ozarkianum. The peony is self-sown.

This is a late spring view with the early bulbs now covered with daphnes,D.'Spring Herald', D. mezereum and D.'Hinton'. There are several colour forms of Lathyrus vernus, large Cardamine pentaphylla and a young Paeonia rockii
