Dactylorhiza foliosa
A group of dactylorhiza that have increased from one self sown seedling that appeared in a pot of hosta approx 4 years ago.

Judge's comment: Not D foliosa (not British native), probably a D fuchsii hybrid

Genista tinctoria var. alpestris
This splendid rock garden plant was obtained from Keith Lever's Aberconwy Nursery and is thriving in the chalky alkaline soil of the raised bed in full sun.

Judge's comment: Genista tinctoria is British, but var alpestris is based on G. alpestris Bertolin, described from N Italy and is from the western AlpsNAS (Not According to Schedule)
