Judge's comment: rare plant
Entry by Michael and Caryl Baron

Colchicum cilicicum
This has been growing here for nearly thirty years and has increased enormously. It's one of the earliest to flower and the leaves follow soon after. It's worth dividing the clumps quite frequently as fungus tends to develop on the dead outside bulb scales.
