Woodland bed in July
This is a raised bed of specimen plants with as much foliar interest as it does for its colour. In the foreground is an unnamed Dactylhoriza and Arisaemas candidisimum, and tortuosum. The central feature is a very mature Podophylum delavayii. Beyond that is Acer and then a huge leafed unnamed Arisaema with a Meconopsis chelidonifolia growing through it. Beyond that is Arisaema griffithii. In front of those there are Meconopsis grandis and Cypripedium formosanum, both havibng flowered earlier in the year. In the background though difficult to see in the photo is a Cardiocrinum giganteum and Hostas June and Devon green. The front of the bed is an old elm trunk covered in Mitraria coccinea

Judge's comment: Great combination of foliage and flowers! A lovely corner of woodland plants Good selection of suitable plants; very mature looking
