Garden witn lilies in Bergen, Norway
This bed shows Lilium bulbiferum flowering, with L. martagon behind. These colours blend with the maroon-leaved japanese maple (out of picture) and the maroon colour of our house (not in picture) the rhododendrons in leaf behind, as well as feverfew (white), polemonium (blue) in foreground. The pink of an Aquilegia connects the dark pink L. martagon with the white and blue in the front.Earlier in the spring, the bed is dominated by Meconopsis 'fertile blue', contrasting with yellow Rhododendron gulkrone (yellow) and scarlet japanese azalea.
